HBO's John From Cincinnati has been cancelled. The season finale (now series finale) aired on Sunday. The show was strange to say the least, but I liked it. Bummed that it's cancelled. The buzz has been that the cast of characters were like the modern day apostles and the last few episodes had an increasing amount of biblical overtones.

John From Cincinnati had an interesting cast but a few weak spots in the acting, notably Keala Kennelly and Greyson Fletcher (Kai and Shaun Yost). And Rebeccca De Mornay's character Cissy Yost was written way over the top and acted out the same way. It was nice to see Ed O'Neill back and Chandra West who played a porn star looked a hell of a lot like Jenna Jameson (used to). Anway too bad it's gone. Looks like Flight of the Conchords future is undecided as well.
