Neither Port Authority cops, the NYPD nor the Queens district attorney has any report of a theft. Kardashian's reps didn't return calls.

Sounds about as fishy as a Britney's 4 week ultrasound. Who doesn't bother to report $50K worth of stolen crap? Why stage a publicity stunt like that when you've got so much other material to work with. I could think of a million things that would work better at grabbing the media's attention. Like, 'opps my pants burst into flames and fell off while walking down Robertson', or 'oh, you mean it's illegal to film a sex tape at a public park, sorry officers'. Or how taking up a cause and fighting the establishment. Kim K. could could spearhead the topless shopping movement I've been trying to get off the ground for years.
