It took me a few days, but I finally got around to watching the premiere of HBO’s new vampire series, True Blood, on InDemand. Hearing Alan Ball on NPR was enough to get me off the dime and tune in. On the surface of course a series about modern day vampires seems the perfect fit for HBO – where plenty of blood and graphic sex are possible. But this is Alan Ball were talking about so don’t expect the ordinary.
